This one day CPD course will help delegates understand the management of buildings and their maintenance in order to optimise the efficiency of buildings and the activities taking place within them; with an emphasis on value for money, along with sustainability and energy efficiency. With examples of very old buildings and very new ones, we will also look at different types of use and the challenges that this brings about, whether it is a visitor attraction or an office. The issues considered are broad and range from health and safety and other statutory issues to the procurement of maintenance and other services. We will also look at the FM roles during the time that buildings are being constructed or refurbished and new horizons such as the input and use of BIM. The course will be based upon best practice standards and to the same rigour and professional standards as our ‘accredited’ Government approved courses. They will be led by tutors who are experienced FM and operational managers and who have also developed and delivered education in FM up to post graduate level. An Environment Study Centre Certificate will be awarded on completion of this course. This will be put on our calendar of public events, but if you are booking six or more individuals we can deliver this in-house. Please contact us for further details.
